Hiking
It is not without reason that Knudhule Badehotel previously functioned as a hostel. The fantastic nature of the Søhøjlandet is a gem for hikers, which is not found in many other places in Denmark, and the area offers plenty of marked hiking routes.
Where hiking in the old days was associated with overnight stays in the open air, many modern hikers have different requirements for catering. We offer two special stay packages for guests who want to combine a nice hike in the beautiful nature with pampering at Knudhule Badehotel.
Cycling
The beautiful landscape around Knudhule offers plenty of options, whether you are into singletrack on a mountain bike or a relaxing ride along asphalted cycle paths. As a guest, you can borrow a small selection of cycle cards at the reception. You can also download the Singletracker app from the App Store and Google Play.
We have a number of regular touring bikes that you, as a guest, can borrow for day trips on roads and cycle paths. The bikes are in a safe condition, but we point out that they are not suitable for off-road driving.
If you bring your own bicycle, we offer washing space for it, and you can borrow tools for easier servicing. We recommend that visitors with their own bicycle spend the night in our large cabins or annex houses or in the Meadow. By agreement, you can have the bicycle locked in one of our storage rooms.
Activities by the water
Directly opposite Knudhule Badehotel is the public Knudhule Beach. Here you can swim, bathe, swim and fish in a scenic setting - read more about the beach here.
If you would rather sail a canoe, kayak, rowing boat, SUP board or similar, you can put in the water from the floating bridge north of the beach just before Ry Sejlklub. The floating bridge is located some distance from the bathing bridge, so that bathers and sailors do not disturb each other. Please note that the bridge may not be used for any kind of motorized boats.
If you bring a canoe, kayak or similar, we offer a washing area at the back of the hotel when you have finished the day's experiences.
